This haunt rates 5 SKULLS on the Castle's Scare meter. Guests will board the trail's transport and listen to Cappy's tales of lore and legend while leaving the safety of the village and driving out to the woods. Once arrived, you'll be greeted by Elvira, who sells spirits and tonics from her pub, "Elvira's Rack". When ready to venture into the Trail, you'll say goodbye to the comforting light of the Rack and descend into the labyrinth that many locals have learned to avoid, the TRAIL OF BLOOD. Over the next 30-45 minutes, you'll choose your own path. Many spirits and ghouls have been trapped in these woods and have been waiting for the chance to meet you.... This haunt contains many themes and allows you a chance to catch your breath, but moments of of peace and quiet are few and far between on this haunt. Get ready to run for your life!

Missed opprotunity
I don't know if it was because it was opening weekend (I'm going to go again and see if it's different) but both the Trail of Blood and Casa Morte were underwhelming. In Casa morte, the fog was so thick we couldn't breathe or see the props on the walls and there were maybe 5 actors we came across. In the Trail of Blood, we spent around 30 minutes wandering aimlessly with difficulty finding any sort of path. In that haunt there was no more than 10 actors that we ran into and when we did half of them either didn't react or weren't paying attention. The props and sets were falling apart or mediocre and it was more like a stroll through some dark woods than an actual haunted trail. I'd recommend having more interaction, maybe some mood lighting to illuminate the props that we could not see in the dark and for those we have difficulty traversing through unmarked wooded areas and updating the props. The positive parts was the trailer ride out there with a hilarious host, the bar/bathrooms at the beginning and end and the zombie graveyard, which hosted 3 of the 10 actors we saw. They made the trail for us. The rest of the way, we chatted about work for lack of anything to do or see.

Love the trail
I've worked out on the trail for a few years now, an it's one of the greatest environments I've ever worked in. From the cast to the patrons everyone is amazing to interact with. We hold a very high standard of professionalism that we hope we meet with each and every individual who dares to walk the trail!

Love the Trail
All I can say is there is no telling what you will see in the woods, it's what nightmares are made of.

Annual Tradition!
This haunt gets better every year! Where else can you be dropped off in the middle of the woods and still have a great pub and brand new restrooms as a last opportunity before you take on the trail? This haunt is eery at first and gears up to terrifying heart pumping thrills! Love it!
